| Dynamic Wrinkles Wrinkles have many causes such as sun damage, aging, and facial expression. Dynamic wrinkles result from the contractions of the muscles of facial expression: smiling, squinting, frowning, etc. The most noticeable dynamic wrinkles are crow’s feet, worry lines, frown lines, forehead lines, and neck lines. How Does Botox Work? BOTOX® Cosmetic is injected into the muscles responsible for the specific facial expressions that produce dynamic wrinkles. BOTOX® Cosmetic causes muscular relaxation by blocking nerve impulses and preventing creasing of the overlying skin. When the muscle becomes relaxed, wrinkles fade away.
